RE: Rivets between cab and cab over snapped?

i would use stainless steel rivets, can you get a drill in there to "upsize" the holes and put a larger diameter stainless rivet back in there??

RE: What's the best form of 'money' to bring into MX

being canadian, i was coverting can to us, then in MX us to pesos. stupid! now i take maybe 2k usd, and either use MC or atm's for pesos. pemex?? when ever you fuel and i mean evry time , got out of your unit, make sure you see them "zero" the pump out, and watch it untill the fill is done and you see exactly what the amount is. the Pemex pumps give the operator the ability to "key" in $10-$20 BEFORE they start your fill, or zero out the pump and put whatever price they feel in after the fill. my neighbor paid $85 usd to fill one of those little chevy's they have down in MX. it only has a 14 gallon tank!! should have been maybe 25.

RE: Padded vinyl ceiling

the "glue" you are using, i assume it is 3M brand headliner glue?? when you spray that stuff, needs to be on both sides ( plywood & new material ) then let it sit to completely dry!! once it is completely dry then attach it in place. if you try to set contact cement before it is dry, it will stay wet for years and frustrate you to no end!!. i would use commercial flooring adhesive. same thing a contact cement but you would have to brush it on. Armstrong flooring makes the product, they make a tar based and a water based, stay away from the tar based.

RE: frozen bacon

i go to the restaurant wholesale and buy it precooked and packaged almost as you described although it comes in 5lb boxes, with 5 1lb packages. it is a little expensive but has a 2 year shelf life (LOL) and is fast and no mess.

RE: Take home chicken question

PROPERLY prepared food can be in the temp danger zone for 4 hours MAX . (40f-140f between these numbers is the danger zone) and longer and it should be discarded or reheated to an INTERNAL temp of 185f for 15 seconds, as after 4 hours bacteria can form to dangerous levels. dangerous foods (heavy in protein, meats, tofu) should also only be reheated ONCE then discarded after . shellfish that enters the danger zone SHOULD ALWAYS BE DISCARDED. anyway to your question about the chicken , yes for 1-2 hours you will be ok and long as it has been cooked properly at the market. (185 INTERNAL temp)

RE: Performance Improvement for 1996 230HP Cummins?

register here
and search in the 2nd gen area. search for fuel plate mods and wastegate mods. actually if you register and post the what-not about your CTD these guys will information overload you. power is pretty much unlimited in them , most guys on this forum are running 800+ on the street and it's easily gotten but the trade off is blowing up all kinds of stuff around the motor, trans, baking turbo's leaving you ring & pinion on the road somewhere. get in there and do some reading , i'm pretty sure just changing out your fuel plate in your injection pump will make you really happy, and keep things together.

urthane?? holds windsheilds in place and never leaks if prepped properly. you can get it in clear, black and white. takes forever to set up though.

acamaya reef rv resort

http://www.acamayareef.com/
this is beside my house in puerto morelos. they are full hookup and i think 300 usd a month. there isn't really any amenities but the town is 5 mins away. playa is 20 mins away and cancun is 20 mins away too. it's right on the beach, beautiful spot if you like powder white sand, warm ocean breeze, snorkelling, and all the other cool stuff mexico has to offer. they also have little huts on site if the company that has been travelling with you, is um getting on your nerves!!
